About Brianna
Brianna started her work with animals around the age of 14 by volunteering at her local animal shelters on and off during school breaks. When returning to Virginia after a year and a half of living in Houston, she looked for a full time kennel position. From there she has worked in various kennels throughout Hampton Roads for about eight years until moving to Seattle for a General Management position at another kennel.
Now, having returned to Hampton Roads, she decided to finally make the leap to fulfill her dream of combining her love for animals and dog shows by working for a professional show dog handler as an assistant!
Getting to attend dog shows and assist in showing and grooming and taking care of other peoples' beloved pets and show dogs has been a great pleasure.
About Lowchen
The Löwchen as a breed has a long and somewhat controversial history. We know from works of art depicting images of small dogs in a very distinctive lion trim that the breed dates to the 16th century. The breed is depicted throughout the centuries in paintings, block prints, line drawings, and tapestries from around the world including Germany, France, and Belgium
The Löwchen has been the resident of all manner of households through the ages, from castles to the most ordinary farmyards and cottages. Aside from their primary function as a companion they were most likely great varmint hunters and fierce little guards of beloved hearth and home.
The Löwchen are loved for their creative antics, sassy opinions, and their clownish behaviors. The future of the breed depends not only on our love for the dogs in our home, but also on our efforts to promote the breed that we cherish.
